FAQs

What if I'm nervous or 'bad' at headshots?

That’s where the Director comes in. My sessions are collaborative and calm. I will guide your eye line, your posture, and your intention. You don’t need to 'know' how to pose; that’s my job.

How many looks should I bring?

It’s not about the number of outfits, but the number of 'characters.' For a full session, I recommend 3-4 distinct variations. I'll send over a prep guide once your session is confirmed to help you prepare for your session.

Do you provide hair and makeup?

I prefer a 'best version of you on a good day' look for headshots. Most actors prefer to do their own, but I can recommend excellent local makeup artists who understand the subtlety required for high-end headshots if needed.

What happens if I get a breakout or a blemish on the day?

Don’t panic. Professional retouching is included in your package. I can easily remove temporary skin issues while keeping your skin texture looking natural and 'real' for casting directors.

How long until I see my photos?

You’ll receive your watermarked proofing gallery within 48 hours of our session. Once you’ve made your final selections, my turnaround for fully retouched industry-standard files is usually 2 working days.

Will you help me pick the final images?

Definitely. I provide a digital gallery for you to review, but I’m always happy to give my 'Director's opinion' on which shots tell the most compelling story or offer the most versatility for your Spotlight profile.

Can I bring a friend or my agent to the session?

The best results usually happen one-on-one to keep the communication clear. However, if you feel you absolutely need a support person, just let me know beforehand.
