I photograph business and actor headshots, and I offer photoshoots in my studio in Cardiff North, on location or at your home.

I've also been an actor for almost 30 years, working mostly within the tv and film industry in Wales. And in 2021 I directed my first drama series. I continue to work as both an actor and director, and my experience in both fields allow me to be a better photographer.

I've always been fascinated with photography – especially people photography. I established Geraint Todd Photography in 2007, with the focus on actor headshots, because I was frustrated with the experiences I kept getting as an actor when I went to different photographers to have new headshots done: I received little to no direction, the shoots were over before I realised and I didn't really feel valued or listened to. 

I became very busy photographing actors and I found that I enjoyed the directing process so much that I expanded to include business headshots in my portfolio. In 2008 I had a purpose-built studio constructed at our home in Cardiff, and I've been working from there (and on location) ever since.

I find that the two worlds of photography and acting complement each other perfectly. My experience as an actor gives me a unique insight into what it feels like to be in front of the camera, and I love working with people who don't enjoy being photographed.

Having been to so many headshot sessions and photoshoots where the photographer gave no input or guidance to me, my focus is always on directing people and helping them to relax in front of the camera, so that they look and feel their best in their headshots.
