When I had to shut my studio during the first Covid-19 lockdown I searched for ways to keep my creativity going. I became fascinated with suspending inks, dyes and paints in water to emulate space vistas and abstracts.

During the pandemic I also discovered cold water therapy in the form of open water swimming, spending hours at the shore most days. I try to capture what the sea means to me in the form of fine art photography: the stillness, the calm and the constant.
