I've been a tv and film actor for almost 30 years. I know how daunting it can be to think about having new actor headshots taken.
Too many photographers assume that because you're an actor you'll be comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, and know exactly what to do. From my experience that couldn't be further from the truth.
In order to be able to create different looks and characters actors need time and direction so that they feel settled and safe enough to take risks. Because that's what actors (and all creatives in general) do - put themselves out there and take risks to make art.
My photoshoots are always calm and unrushed with plenty of time for actors to relax in front of the camera. I bring my experience as an actor and director to help advise you and guide you on performance and character creation. And you'll be able to view the photos as we go along to make sure that you're happy with everything.
It's important that you have as wide a range of looks as possible, which will help you greatly when you're put up for castings. For this reason I include both Natural Light and Studio-lit setups in my session - light and backgrounds have a huge impact on how you look.

Let me know a date and time that works best for you to book your Actor Headshot Session.
2 Headshot time!
Your session will take place in the studio (in Cardiff North).
The session is in 2 halves:
1. The first setup will be in Natural Light to achieve evenly exposed, soft, flattering light.
2. We'll then continue in the Studio where we'll utilise different backgrounds and lighting styles.
In both setups I'll guide you through a wide range of different looks, moods and characters so that you have a wide and varied range of headshots to choose from. There's never any rush - we'll take our time so that we get the best out of you in your session.
3 Choose your headshots!
After your session I'll work on your photos and an online password-protected portfolio will be prepared for you to view within 2 days.
Once you choose which headshots you like best I'll edit them in greater detail to make sure that you look your best, and they'll be ready for you within another 2 days.
